The business is also supported by a metal fabrication workshop producing products for our recreational slide-on camper business. • Penguin Composites has attained ISO 9001 and the company manufactures under AS/NZ1546.1:2008. • We manufacture an extensive range products for diverse clients in composite and metal for the architectural, industrial, commercial, marine and recreational vehicle markets. We achieve our manufacturing, training and environment goals using best practices by using administrative systems and adopting lean manufacturing techniques across our workforce of around 50 personnel. • Penguin Composites is currently engaged in a project with THALES Group manufacturing vehicle components and panels for the Hawkei Project delivering 1,100 vehicle sets to the Australian Department of Defence. This project began in 2016 and will run through until 2021 bringing much needed growth and recognition to Tasmania Industry in the Defence Supply Network.
