Peace Lutheran Church seeks to strengthen faith and make a difference by… Celebrating Christ through worship and stewardship, ... Growing in Christ through reading scripture, praying and using our strengths to make this world a better place and Making Christ Known by reaching out to those in need. Worship is a space to encounter God in the chords of a melody, the textures of a painting, the words of scripture or prayer. We all experience God in different ways—some think in pictures, others through listening, others hands-on activities—lucky for us God is everywhere. Stewardship is putting our beliefs into practice. We believe everything is a gift from God and that belief impacts how we think, act and live… how we spend our money, care for the environment and use our time. Scripture is God’s written means of communication with us, which reveals God’s love and plan to be in a relationship with all of humanity. The Bible tells stories that create faith and show us how to live abundant lives. Prayer is a conversation with God and we can pray anytime and anywhere. Prayer is paying attention to God’s present activity in the world. Strengths are our God given abilities that we use in our everyday lives to make the world a better place. Reaching Out to those in need is at the heart of God’s mission in the world. We place a high priority on using our strengths in meaningful service.
