The name of the orchestra is referring directly to its birth year – 2011 – when it took place the 150th celebration for the I ... taly Unity. This particular choice marks the acknowledgement and affection for Piacenza, the First-Born City, the first one that voted positively for the annexation to the reign of Piemonte. After the audition days, when lot of young Italian and foreign artists occurred, the musicians of the orchestra were decided. The distinctive feature of the choice was the young age, in order to catch the performance freshness and their enthusiasm. The 15Orchestra was born from a chamber ensemble characterized by a strong flexibility.
