Thirty years ago, Opart and his wife, Mookda decided to take a leap of faith by opening the original Opart Thai House on West ... ern Avenue. There weren't many Thai restaurants in Chicago at the time but they were passionate about their food. Opart and Mookda sold everything they had to buy a small retail spot on Western Avenue. They decided to name it Opart Thai House because they wanted every customer to feel like they were eating at their house. The goal was and still is to treat every guest like family; serving authentic Thai food in a warm and friendly environment. There's something for everyone with our extensive menu of over a hundred items. If you want to enjoy our food from the comfort of your home or work, we also provide carry-out, delivery, and catering. Our food travels exceptionally well and everything can be made to your liking, from mild to extra spicy. Today, Opart Thai House is still family-owned and family-run. Despite all the success, you will often find Mookda working at one of our three locations. We thank you for our continued success and hope that you enjoy your experience dining with our family! read more
