World OKTA (World Feder ... ation of Overseas Korean Traders’ Association) is an economic trade organization of overseas Koreans, which was established on April 2, 1981, for the purposes of promoting trades and enhancing the prestige of Korea under guidance of Ministry of Trade (currently Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy) and support from KOTRA, and was incorporated in 1994. It is operated to heighten the competitive power of 30,000 members in 136 branches in 69 countries throughout the world as of 2015 and further train leaders who will guide the next generation, by providing a forum for mutual exchange between traders working actively overseas.
