The Ocala Police Department is comprised of 165 sworn law enforcement personnel, 75 non-sworn personnel and numerous voluntee ... rs. The City of Ocala is divided into two unique patrol districts, namely the East District and West District, which are commanded by Police Captains. Each district is sub-divided into five different patrol zones and staffed by patrol officers. Each district is assigned a Criminal Investigative Unit which investigates all property and white collar crimes that occur within the districts.
