The Windmills Girls Fastpitch Organization was established in 1989 in Oak Park, Illinois. Since its inception, the goals of t ... he organization have been: * To train girls to be elite softball players, capable of earning College scholarships * To teach girls the principals of dedication, perseverance and teamwork * To learn and advance the most successful training techniques to our coaches and players * To encourage girls to participate in community service The founding members of the Windmills organization wanted their daughters to excel in Fastpitch softball. To that end, they dedicated themselves to study the best in the game and to implement those learned techniques, strategies and philosophies into their teams. The result of their efforts was the creation of a highly successful program which produced student-athletes who played at the collegiate level. Today, the Windmills organization continues the tradition of training young women to become some of the most highly skilled athletes in the Chicagoland area. We are proud to have guided many young athletes toward their goals of playing collegiate softball. Over 103 Windmill graduates have played NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA collegiate softball. Many of these young women are now coaching, both professionally and as volunteers, continuing on the Windmill traditions and philosophies. We are a volunteer-driven organization with coaches, players and Board members dedicated to keep alive the spirit and success of the original founding group. If you are interested in becoming part of the Windmills family, please contact one of our Coaches or Board members. read more
