The company is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, which comprises representatives of the community & voluntary sector, social partners, and public and elected representatives. This community-led board decides how funding and resources are used for the economic and social benefit of people and communities in North Tipperary. The Board of Directors place an emphasis on ensuring that we are open, transparent and follow the highest standards of governance. North Tipperary Development Company operates within the Nenagh and Templemore Thurles Municipal District Areas. The Company came into operation on 1st January 2009 as North Tipperary LEADER Partnership Company (NTLP). NTLP was an amalgamation of the programmes and activities of Roscrea 2000 Ltd, Nenagh Community Network, Tipperary LEADER Group and Thurles Action Community Development, which was called for at the time by the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (DCRGA). On the 22nd of November 2018, through a rebranding process the company was renamed North Tipperary Development Company (NTDC) to reflect its overall work as a development company.
