The NFF is one of the largest and most modern centres for mobility research at any German university. Research is conducted in the spectrum of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, chemistry, psychology, civil engineering and economics. Currently, the NFF has 45 members, who are not only from institutes of the universities of Braunschweig, Hannover and Clausthal, but also from other research institutions in the region (including DLR, Ostfalia, Wolfsburg AG).
