The use of digital technology has been integrated throughout the curriculum and each student has been given their own iPad for research, experimentation and creation. Newlands has a continuous history stretching back to its foundation in 1814 and it was one of the Founder Members of the IAPS. In 2009, Newlands became part of the Beaconhouse group of schools. This innovative, internationally based educational group has a network of Independent Schools in nine countries with more than 227,000 full time students. Newlands has opened 'sister schools' in Malasia and Pakistan and it shares cultural links and educational practice with these and the wider Beaconhouse network, including its university.
