Nelson River Construction was formed in Winnipeg during the First World War, in the 1950’s moved to its current location at 1 ... 01 Dawson Road, in Winnipeg MB. Our current site was the site of an old homestead, with multiple buildings, today our site houses our Offices, Repair and Maintenance Facilities and storage for our large fleet of equipment. Incorporated in 1923 to build sewer and water facilities, Nelson River soon expanded into concrete and asphalt paving. As our reputation grew, so did our company. Now in our 4th generation of ownership, we approaching our 100th year in business. Our longevity and success due to the incredible people who have worked in the Nelson River organization over this timeframe. Today we operate inter-provincially with expertise in many areas of heavy construction from aggregate processing, concrete and asphalt paving and tunneling to construction of lift stations and pump houses.
