Neighborhood House works to help break the cycle of poverty through four main programs: basic needs, youth leadership, adult ... and family education, and community building. Housed in the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Center on the West Side of St. Paul, we provide the tools needed to move families and individuals from surviving to thriving Our participants are immigrants, refugees, and long-time residents facing challenging situations. Of the approximately 14,000 people we serve each year, more than 90% live at or below the poverty level, over 90% are minority, and roughly 75% speak a native language other than English at home. Many participants return to the organization as volunteers, donors, or staff, paying the mission forward. You can work toward breaking the cycle of poverty as a participant, volunteer, or donor. When you partner with Neighborhood House, you make a valuable difference in our community. We invite you to become part of our neighborhood tradition and local history. read more
