SwissMAP is an interdisciplinary research network at the crossroads of mathematics and theoretical physics. It aims to encour ... age the mutual exchange of ideas and methods at the cutting edge of research in these areas. It fosters an environment in which mathematical rigour and physical intuition blend in a natural way. The SwissMAP research projects aim, on the one hand, to use mathematics to understand physical theories and on the other hand to develop mathematics that is inspired by physics. It is a priority of the network to substantially contribute to training the next generation of mathematicians and physicists, to increase the participation of women in these fields and to develop outreach and knowledge transfer activities. read more
