The National Search and Rescue Dog Association (NSARDA) is an umbrella organisation for Air Scenting Search Dogs in the UK, I ... sle of Man and Eire. It's members are the Search and Rescue Dog Associations that are located throughout the British Isles. Each of the individual Search and Rescue Dog Associations (SARDA) is a voluntary organisation responsible for training and deployment of air scenting search and rescue dogs to search for missing persons in the mountains and high moorlands of Britain as well as the lowland, rural and urban areas. Search Dogs are used to search for missing Hill walkers or climbers, or increasingly persons missing from home, elderly and confused persons, also missing children, and victims of crime. All handlers are trained in the protection of crime scenes. SARDA can work along with Mountain Rescue or directly for the Police.
