My Life is a charity that connects people with their communities. We work with funders, commissioners and people of all ages ... and abilities who need support to live a good life, including children, young people and adults with disabilities, people with ill health or age-related problems, and those who feel lonely or isolated. Here's how... 👉🏽 My Life Support We listen to people with disabilities and health conditions who have a personal budget or direct payment, helping them to choose and manage care and support so they can focus on what’s important to them. Liaising with CCGs, the NHS and other organisations and funders, we plan tailor-made support, manage the budget, recruit and manage Personal Assistants and provide high quality, consistent CQC-registered care and support - resulting in long term cost savings for funders as well as remarkable outcomes for the people we serve. 👉🏽 My Life Learning An Ofsted-registered specialist further education college, we provide a bespoke, exciting curriculum for people aged 16-25 years with additional needs in 84 acres of green land in Standish. We offer an innovative and person-centred approach to education, based on the skills, gifts and needs of every student. With courses from Animal Care to Catering, through to ICT, Art, Horticulture, numeracy and literacy, our key aims are to prepare learners for adulthood and support them to achieve their full potential. 👉🏽 My Life Day Opportunities We offer meaningful person-centred activities for all ages and abilities at Standish and Leigh. From art, music and dance to horticulture, catering, woodwork, when we say that our activities are ‘person-centred’ we really mean it. 👉🏽 My Life Advocacy We provide Independent Care Act Advocacy to eligible people in Wigan. Our nuanced, caring approach has resulted in some incredible outcomes for vulnerable people referred to us.
