MunichImaging is the cornerstone of a rapidly expanding bioengineering ecosystem in the Munich science area; including the Research Center TranslaTUM and the Helmholtz Pioneer Campus, which integrate bioengineering with oncology and metabolic disorders, respectively. Our scientists develop next-generation imaging and sensing methods to measure previously inaccessible properties of living systems, catalyzing breakthroughs in biology, medicine, and the environment. We have pioneered multi-spectral #optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) from scratch to successful commercialization and are now actively driving the clinical translation of optoacoustic and optical technologies towards disease prevention, early diagnosis and intra-operative settings.
