Founded in 1975 as a jointly administered academic unit of both the College of Human Medicine and the College of Osteopathic Medicine, the department is actively engaged in teaching, research, clinical care, and community outreach. It is a leading provider of high quality imaging services in the metropolitan Lansing and other outstate areas. Under the leadership of its internationally known Founding Chair, Dr. E.
