The Unit for Teaching Emissaries works to ensure the future and uniqueness of the Jewish people by promoting Jewish, Hebrew, ... and Zionist education, and by teaching Hebrew as the language of the Jewish people. This is accomplished via Israeli educators – morim shlichim – who act as emissaries abroad for a limited period of time to teach in Jewish schools around the world. These teachers are integrated into the educational staff of schools in the Diaspora and aim to develop the student's identity as a Jew and as a person by deepening and enriching the connection to the Jewish heritage, Israel, and the modern Hebrew language. read more
