TARGET PARTICIPANTS The MAS AT is designed for managers with limited prior training in the sciences, and specifically includes professionals with university degrees in Economics, Business, Marketing, etc. UNDERSTANDING TECHNOLOGY - PREREQUISITE FOR PROMOTION Career advancement into middle and upper management requires technological knowledge and understanding in addition to management skills. Professionals with science and engineering backgrounds can successfully use the MBA to develop their business knowledge and skills, but there has been no comparable opportunity for non-science professionals to acquire the technological foundations and innovation skills that will enable them to pursue a similar career. PROGRAM The two-year, part-time Master’s degree program is divided into two stages. The first year consists of science and technology training in three areas: information technology, the design and production of physical products, and a technology focus area selected by the participant. In addition to technical fundamentals, the first year shows how these technologies are currently used across many industries to innovate and succeed. The second year shifts focus to developing the innovation and technology skills that will enable participants to initiate and lead change in companies through applied technology. The program has a modular structure consisting of four Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) programs, which also can be taken individually and completed with a CAS diploma. For a Master’s degree, participants must complete the four CAS, an experimental project and a Master’s thesis. APPLICATION DEADLINE Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
