During the last 12 years, the company has established itself as the leading company for third-party testing of computer control systems used for operational and safety critical processes in various maritime and offshore drilling systems. Marine Cybernetics specialty is computer simulation – Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) – testing. On 6 May, 2014, DNV GL officially acquired Marine Cybernetics, expanding their competence in third-party testing and verification of control system software for the maritime and offshore industries.
