The Sw ... an River Colony’s first Surveyor General, John Septimus Roe, had them in abundance when he staked out ‘Location L’ on the banks of the Upper Swan in 1829 and set about transforming virgin bush into a vineyard. Nearly 200 years later, ‘Location L’ is now Mandoon Estate and single-mindedness, creativity and attention to detail are on display everywhere. We are a small village of makers, doers and delighters that strive for excellence in handcrafted wine, beer, cider, food, art or music.
