In 2015, our banks recognized we could better serve our customers by forming a partnership under a mutual holding company: Maine Community Bancorp. This alliance increased both banks' lending capacity and our ability to offer customers leading-edge products — while maintaining our core identities as community banks with rich local history. Biddeford Savings and Mechanics Savings deepened our partnership in 2020, consolidating under the single charter of Maine Community Bank and establishing a shared brand family.
