Macquarie University Muslim Students' Association (MUMSA) is the student body that represents and caters to Muslim students o ... n campus. It is also open to individuals from different backgrounds and faiths interested in learning about Islam and interacting with Muslims from Macquarie University. MUMSA offers a number of different events and initiatives throughout the year, including BBQs and picnics, sports events, lectures, Iftaars, Islamic Awareness Week (IAW) and more! We also welcome any suggestions, so do not hesitate to get in touch and propose ideas. Our primary aim is to serve the Ummah of RasulAllah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for the sake of Allah (SWT) and to communicate the message of Islam at Macquarie University. The prayer room (Musallah) is located on the ground level of the E3A International Building where Muslim students can perform their prayers and worship Allah (SWT). Students of different faiths are likewise welcome to come in and learn about Islam, its teachings, and traditions. Friday (‘Jummah’) prayers are currently held at the Musallah with the first Jummah at 1 pm - 2 pm and the second Jummah is from 2 pm - 3 pm MUMSA has an executive committee (the Shura) that oversees its activities and operations.
