A walkable 10-block radius around Centennial Olympic Park, the Luckie Marietta District is the accessible and engaging city center of Atlanta’s downtown, taking its name from two very busy resident thoroughfares – Luckie Street and Marietta Street – that formed the heart of commerce in downtown Atlanta long before the Civil War. Today, the Luckie Marietta District is home to some of Atlanta’s most iconic buildings and attractions. It connects seven hotels, along with 26 restaurants and lounges ranging from Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Legal Sea Foods, to one-of-a-kind restaurants like Der Biergarten and Peasant Bistro, to refreshing staples like Ted’s Montana Grill, Baja Fresh and Subway. Luckie Marietta District is also home to 21 world-class attractions such as the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Dome, Philips Arena, Centennial Olympic Park, the CNN Center and the Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest aquarium. Luckie Marietta District hosts a helipad on the rooftop of Ventanas, one of several unique event venues in the area.
