A part of the Lynden family of companies, Milky Way, a division of LTI, Inc., entered the milk hauling business in the late 1 ... 940's. By the 1970's Milky Way was the largest motor carrier of bulk fluid milk within the state of Washington. During the early 1970's the company began building custom built stainless steel tankers at the Lynden terminal to ensure new state-of-the-art tank technology for the pickup and delivery to customers. Milky Way now has established terminals and offices across the northwest, offering milk pickup throughout most of the Pacific Northwest.
