London Camanachd can trace its history back to 1894 after the amalgamation of London Scots and London Northern Counties. Over ... its 120+ years history it has had many peaks and troughs. One of the best years in the club’s history was one they played nine matches over the course of the 1984-85 season when they won Skeabost Horn and reached the semi-finals of both the Balliemore and Bullough cups. In 1984 they also reached the quarter final of the Camanachd Cup where they lost to Skye. In 1989 the club donated the London Shield to youth shinty where the most recent champions are Netwonmore which won the shield in November 2015. London has entered the Bullough cup over the years but in 2006 made shinty history when it played the first recognised shinty match in 8 years when London beat the Highlanders 1-0. In 2006 London also won the Rosedene Shield at the Inverness Sixes. More recently, London has had great success in the England Tri-Series against Oxford and Cornwall. Additionally each year in October, London Camanachd hosts the London Shinty Festival, where London won both the tournament and women's cup in 2017. read more
