Lochland, located in Geneva, New York, is a small non-profit organization providing day habilitation and residential services ... to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Lochland was established in 1933 by Ms. Florence Stewart, who was widely recognized as a pioneer in the education of disabled children. For almost 80 years, Lochland has remained small enough to offer a family-like atmosphere but able to meet life-long needs of each resident as they progress through their senior years. Today, just as it was in 1933, Lochland still places an emphasis on self-determination, greater independence, individuality and inclusion in society for those who are disabled.
