Founded in 2004, l’institut du thorax is devoted to patient care, research and higher education in cardiovascular, metabolic ... and respiratory diseases. From bench to bedside, our scope reaches from a basic research lab (Inserm UMR 1087/CNRS UMR 6291) to clinical departments via a clinical investigation center. Based in Nantes –Western France- our 800 clinicians, healthcare professionals, research scientists and professors share a common culture: cross-pollination to foster excellence and imagine innovative multidisciplinary projects to provide patients with high-quality treatments and medical care.
