LESA aims to: • Foster safety in design, installation and use of lifts (elevators), escalators, moving walks and like equipme ... nt. • Encourage the acquisition and interchange of technical knowledge freely given. • Promote correct selection, specification of equipment, operating standard and performance in the design of premises. • Assess proposed and existing Government Regulations and provide ‘feedback’ as considered appropriate. • Receive papers prepared by members and guest speakers. • Meet at regular intervals for the purpose of achieving its aims and objectives. • Encourage technological development of lifts (elevators), escalators, moving walks and like equipment. • Comment on matters affecting public interest where the Society considers this appropriate. read more
