After studying business and engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and having a successful career as an aeronautica ... l engineer, Cappy Lawton entered the restaurant business. Suzy Lawton started her career in banking and then real estate, but soon realized her true passion was in restaurants. Together they have designed, developed, and operated 29 restaurants throughout Texas. The husband and wife team share a passion for food and traveling. They have traveled the world and spent many years in Mexico and Ireland. Their son, Trevor Lawton, serves as the president of the company. Today the Lawtons own and operate four restaurants in San Antonio: La Fonda on Main, Cappy's, Cappyccino's, and Mama’s Cafe.
