Founded in 1982 by Heinrich Hora, Laser and Particle Beams has a long tradition, and has historically been very important for ... the plasma physics and laser community. The journal has recently become a part of a partnership collaboration between Hindawi and Cambridge University Press, and is now OPEN ACCESS. After 20 years of activity, former Editor-in-Chief Dieter Hoffmann has decided to actively support the development of the journal as Chief Editor Emeritus. In this respect Laser and Particle Beams is also going through other changes, including a new Editor-in-Chief, and new Editorial Board members.
