History LABIRINTO is the culmination of a long tradition of the company Silva e Sousa & Irmãos in the Portuguese footwear industry, with more than 60 years of experience and currently being managed by the family's third generation. The footwear business began in 1949 in Fiães, north of Portugal, by José António Sousa. The activity started with the production of high quality man shoes, 100% hand-made that were sold to the most renowned shoe shops of Oporto and Lisbon! Between 2007 and 2011, the family's third generation has entered the company and they are currently managing it together with the previous generation, allowing a mix of vast experience and the irreverence and new ideas that young people add to the organization. Loyal to their origins, the company is specialized in the development and production of leather footwear, with a strong incorporation of comfort, making the design, the colours and the diversity of the collections, the elements for which the company has been recognized over time.
