Kensington is a member owned private country club that boasts a world-class golf course, seven clay tennis courts, a Junior O ... lympic-sized swimming pool, a full-service fitness center and a 30,000 square foot beautiful clubhouse. This season we will be adding 4 pickleball courts as well as 2 bocce courts. Located just inside the Kensington gate, we are centrally located on Pine Ridge Road, one block east of Airport Road and one mile west of I-75. In addition to great golf, tennis and fitness the Club is known for outstanding dining and social events. With an award winning accomplished Chef, Kensington offers members and their guests’ incredible cuisine and multiple dining options. The Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed par 71 golf course was built around a 20-acre nature preserve and is one of the few walkable courses in the area. Dick Erick, long time Head Golf Professional, describes the course as, “This creation of Robert Trent Jones Jr. is totally unique to southwest Florida. The playing characteristics of the course incorporate strategy and fineness. One major design feature of the golf course is its versatility. The design of the tee complexes have up to 7 or 8 different tee locations. This helps create not only the variety of yardages but also many different angle changes to the holes. The most consistent comment from our members, and guests, is they never get tired of playing the course.” Members are not required to live in the neighborhood, and many come to the course from the beaches and surrounding communities.
