The Farmland Protection Program was created in 2001. As of May 2017, we have preserved over 5,000 acres of farmland in Kane C ... ounty, and continue to have farms added to our waiting list to join this program. Growing for Kane was established in 2013, and strives to increase production, distribution and consumption of locally grown food in Kane County. As a result, we will have a healthier community, stronger economy and well-supported agriculture industry. read more
