Established in 2003, KanCan’s brand name was inspired by the cancan dance. The Cancan is a high-energy, physically demanding ... dance which became a popular music hall dance in the 1840s. We chose the name to reflect and capture the sense of positivity and high-energy emitted from the dance. We want people to not only feel comfortable with the fit, but to also feel comfortable with a wide range of movement as they live their daily life. We love jeans and we wanted to create a line that could be enjoyed by all body types while also allowing wearers to do anything and everything including dancing the Cancan.
