J.W. Filshill Ltd. was established in 1875. The company was a confectionary manufacturer for 55 years before we opened our fi ... rst cash and carry operation. This quickly developed into a delivered goods business in the 1960’s. As was the case with many manufacturing industries, costs became prohibitive and we decided to pull out of manufacturing to concentrate on the cash and carry and delivered wholesale businesses. Filshill moved to our current premises in Hillington in 1994 and has expanded the warehouse twice since then. Our total workforce now exceeds 250 people. We have remained a family business and have had a rapid expansion in the last twenty years. With a turnover in excess of 170 Million, We now have over 1600 retail Cash and Carry and Delivered Goods customers. In addition our company services a number of wholesalers and has several national accounts including the Scottish Prison Service. More than 160 retailers have joined the Key ‘Symbol Group’ (KeyStore) and benefit from working in partnership with us. This part of our business has developed rapidly and the product range that we carry has continually expanded, with new product lines being added on a month to month basis. The main aim of our company remains to be a ‘One Stop’ supplier for existing customers, and to develop our customer base by providing a highly efficient and flexible service. Our business goals are to recruit more KeyStore business partners, as well as to grow our company into new areas including expanding our exporting business, Our Craft Beer Clan of Scotland teams up with Scottish brewers to introducing the great flavours of Scottish craft beer to new drinkers around the world and we are finding some fantastic partners in the Far East.
