J.M. Bastille Inc. has been a leader in the steel business since its foundation in 1958 by Mr. Jean-Marie Bastille. The compa ... ny is now managed by Mr. Bastille's son, Jean-Pierre. The company's main vocation is the salvage of ferrous and non- ferrous material and the preparation of these material so they meet mill specifications. Annualy, J.M. Bastille Inc. prepares and sells over 30,000 tons of ferrous material for mills in Quebec and Ontario. As for non-ferrous material, J.M. Bastille Inc. salvages over 800 tons per year. In 1974, a new branch is added to the company; it becomes a wholesaler in the new structural steel business. This division serves customers throughout New Brunswick and Eastern Quebec every week.
