J. C. Madigan, Inc. is one of New England's premier truck equipment distributors. Their 78,600 sq/ft facility includes: 30,00 ... 0 sq./ft. of shop area, A full service metal fabrication area, (2) five ton over head cranes, 21,000 sq./ft. high bay parts warehouse, 10,000 sq./ft. body shop & paint area with a 75’down draft paint booth. The entire facility is located on a 60+ acres which is is protected by a gated entrance and 24 hour video surveillance. Jack Madigan started J. C. Madigan, Inc in 1955 selling and spreading agricultural lime in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. After a few years, seeing an opportunity to expand his business, he began to sell lime and fertilizer spreaders to customers throughout New England and the Canadian Maritimes. As this portion of the business continued to grow, Jack began to concentrate on the selling of lime and the spreader equipment. Many of the customers who purchased lime spreading equipment also had needs for sand and salt spreaders and Jack quickly expanded the business to meet this demand. As this loyal customer base recognized the quality of service and equipment being supplied by J.C. Madigan, Inc. they began to look to and rely upon the company to address more and more of their truck equipment needs, including platforms, utility bodies, and dump bodies. J. C. Madigan, Inc. became a family affair when both of Jack's sons, John and Tim, joined him in operating this extremely fast paced business. The three of them worked side by side until Jack's passing in 2010. In July 2011 the Company consolidated its operations in Lancaster, Ma. This consolidation enabled the Company to increase capacity and become more efficient. Additionally it created the opportunity to expand their product offerings.
