iQ Renew (IQR) is an intelligent Australian recycler that connects community with industry through innovation. IQR processes ... most recyclables from north of Sydney to Newcastle in its regional recycling hub based in Central Coast, NSW for approximately 1 million Australians. IQR is now developing the regional recycling hub concept with Councils in Victoria, Queensland and NSW interested in replicating the IQR’s sustainable supply chain for their surrounding community. IQR has utilized its market position to develop new supply chains between the community’s recyclables and innovative downstream manufacturing and is the early adopter with three innovative technologies: - Virtual Quarry transforms recovered glass into high-value products in Wyong NSW and Wacol Queensland. - The Curby Program enables segregation of targeted compatible recyclables for separation and aggregating into new recyclable streams and brings in funding from products stewards. It is initially targeting soft plastics, coffee capsules and textiles. IQR has been awarded a grant by Federal Minister for Industry Science & Technology to develop the template for Smart Material Recovery Facilities (“SMRF”). - Cat-HTR™ is an advance recycling technology for end-of-life plastic that enables reprocessing of flexible plastics. The potential for Cat-HTR™ was presented by IQR’s partner Nestlé at the Wrap on Soft Plastics in March 2021. read more
