For over a century, the Insurance Brokers’ Association of the State of New York (IBANY) has represented the interests of New York’s leading commercial insurance producers. IBANY combines advocacy, networking and professional development to: promote the professional knowledge and status of IBANY members; provide opportunities for business interaction between the brokerage and underwriting communities; study and promote a more thorough understanding of the general public's insurance needs; foster better understanding between the Association, its members, and the companies with which members do business; advocate for the interests of the interests of the industry with legislators and regulators; and ensure the general welfare of the Association. The Association’s professional development efforts include frequent interaction with insurance company leaders and other industry experts. Broker members have the opportunity to spend time with top decision makers of major insurance carriers at the Association’s popular CEO Breakfasts. Our monthly education programs use information and opinions provided by experts as a basis for lively discussion on a variety of timely topics. IBANY also places particular emphasis on networking opportunities for broker and associate members.
