The ICS North East Branch is a local branch covering an area of the East Coast of England from the Scottish Borders down to W ... hitby. We are an inclusive branch who are currently trying to raise the profile of not just our branch but of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers as a whole. The Institute is a professional body for all members of the commercial shipping industry worldwide and is the only internationally recognised professional body in the commercial maritime arena. As well as becoming a full Member, which means completing seven Professional Qualifying Exams, we also offer a one year Foundation Diploma and Advanced Diploma in a wide range of practical shipping, offshore, logistics & port management disciplines. We can provide a local tutor to help students through the exams, we arrange social events to keep everyone in touch and we also host two formal dinners each year to celebrate our traditions and help with networking.
