In 1999 the members decided to rename the Association to European Management Assistants (EUMA) and in 2016, to change to IMA - International Management Assistants - due to the growing number of international members. Executive Assistant Awards is an annual award founded 2009 by IMA Sweden and Företagsuniversitet together with partners InHouse and Nordic Choice Hotels. The purpose is to celebrate the EA role in Sweden. The Award ceremony takes place during the conference Vidgade Vyer in Stockholm every February.
