The International Institute for Information Design (IIID) is a global network of individuals and organisations who are intere ... sted in optimizing information and information systems in everyday life, business, education and science. IIID has contributed significantly towards developing information design as an independent interdisciplinary field of knowledge and professional practice. Through interdisciplinary and international co-operation IIID has established links to individuals, renowned universities, research laboratories and design companies around the world. IIID is recommended by UNESCO as a partner organization for worldwide co-operation on matters of information design (Resolution 4.9 of the 28th General Conference of UNESCO, 1995, Paris). IIID is an Associate of the OECD Global Project on "Measuring the Progress of Societies" IIID is affiliated to the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (ICOGRADA) and co-operates with a number of other national and international organizations, interested in information design. read more
