WHY IT MATTERS: 60 million people in the U.S. suffer from disabilities or disadvantages that impact how they live. Over one million of these people live in Michigan. To put it into perspective, that’s more than the population of Detroit. A majority have fallen through the cracks and aren’t receiving the care they deserve.
