As of August 12, 2017, the official enrollment count was 578, of which 97% are military dependents, (August 2016, the OEC was 562 students, of which 96% are military dependents). With a highly transient population, these students come from many school systems throughout the nation and also from schools for U.S. dependents established in foreign countries. These students enter and exit based upon their parents’ military Permanent Change of Station (PCS). The School Status and Improvement Report of 2015-16 states that 71% of the 518 students were enrolled for the entire school year. School reports that 50% of students enter after school starts or leaves for different duty stations.
