Due to their behavioral cause they may be prevented through such practices as brushing teeth and consulting the dentist periodically for the former and maintaining a healthy diet applicable to both. Additionally the mere failure to perform recommended hygienic practices results in the spread of common contact-dependent and airborne ailments, namely, the cold virus. In certain communities the high population of socioeconomically disadvantaged families coupled with poor funding for public schools unable to finance awareness programs result in insufficient prevention education and, consequently, increased incidence. Healthy O.N. was launched as a 501(c) nonprofit organization for the purpose of not only directly educating this young demographic within the United States, but also designing teaching material for other health-promoting groups having third-world presence with intention to reduce disease prevalence.
