Founded in 1986, HealthEast was created in a merger of hospitals from several faith traditions. Guided by that heritage, Heal ... thEast had a call to healing and serving its neighbors in the Twin Cities East Metro. In a 2017 merger with Fairview Health Services, HealthEast joined one of the largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit health systems in Minnesota. HealthEast is now part of M Health Fairview, the newly expanded academic health system driven to discover a better way to deliver breakthrough care close to home. M Health Fairview is a collaboration among the University of Minnesota, University of Minnesota Physicians, and Fairview.
