The Hay River Health and Social Services Authority (HRHSSA) is located on the southern shores of the Great Slave Lake. We emp ... loy approximately 250 talented and dedicated health professionals and support staff who promote wellness, prevent disease and injury, and provide health care to a diverse population of approximately 6,000 in our surrounding area. HRHSSA provides services and programs at the Hay River Regional Health Centre, Woodland Manor long term care facility, H.H. Williams Memorial Hospital and the Gensen building. Recognizing the natural path of our highway system, we provide services to residents living in our surrounding communities, such as Enterprise, Kakisa, Fort Providence, Fort Resolution, and K’atl’odeeche First Nation. At the Hay River Regional Health Centre we deliver acute and ambulatory care, inpatient care, rehabilitation, dialysis, primary health care, and emergency medical services. There are many other programs and departments that fall within and support these areas, such as midwifery and diagnostic imaging services. Our medical clinic is supported by residents, physicians, and nurse practitioners, and it averages over 1,250 visits per month. HRHSSA provides a teaching environment for medical learners, which represent the majority of medical schools across the country.
