The Hastings Academies Trust was formed in 2011 to sponsor two secondary academies in Hastings and St Leonards. The Trust’s s ... ponsors are: The University of Brighton: experts in education with a learning centre in the heart of the town. BT: one of the world’s leading communication providers. East Sussex County Council: who started the project and provided much of the funding for the new buildings at the secondary academies. The Hastings Academy and The St Leonards Academy have been in operation since September 2011. These are now innovative new schools with 21st century facilities, skilled staff and exciting new ways of teaching to ensure that every student achieves their very best. Dudley Infant Academy, West St Leonards Academy and The Baird Primary Academy have recently joined the Trust and we are delighted to welcome them to our family of schools. Both our secondary academies and Dudley Infant academy have recently been inspected by Ofsted, under their new inspection framework, and judged to be Good (the second highest category).
