The Hartford Police Department is responsible for providing public safety services for the capital city of Connecticut. Hartford has approximately 124,000 residents, with an additional 50,000 guests to our city on a daily basis. The Police Department is a full service department which houses multiple divisions, including Patrol, Major Crimes, Special Investigations, Vice/Intelligence and Narcotics, Crime Scene, Marine, Traffic, Community Service.
